
Smarter Pricing Strategies to unlock Hidden Revenue
Born and raised in a traditional Indian family in Nasik — a mid-sized town in western India — where I grew up surrounded by accountants, until I broke the mold as the first engineer in the family. Drawn to science and the challenge of understanding how things work, I studied Mechanical Engineering at Pune University, followed by a Master’s in Manufacturing Systems from the University of Warwick in the UK.
After five years working with manufacturing companies of all sizes, I realized I wanted to get closer to the business decisions that shape a company’s growth. That led me to an MBA at the Simon Business School. It was there, during a class with Professor Greg Shaffer, that I discovered the world of pricing — and never looked back.
Over the past 10 years, I’ve built my career in pricing strategy, first with the global pricing team at Mettler Toledo, and then as a consultant at a boutique pricing firm focused on private equity-backed B2B businesses. Across all my roles, the common thread has been using pricing as a lever to unlock hidden value.
I created this website to share what I’ve learned — not just the theory, but the real-world insights that come from years of doing the work. Whether you’re new to pricing or trying to scale it across a business, I hope these posts spark ideas and offer practical guidance.
When I’m not thinking about pricing models or value capture, I’m usually on a tennis court, catching a cricket match, or re-reading one of my favorite fantasy series (Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, or A Song of Ice and Fire). I love movies, good conversations, and most of all — time with my family. My wife and I left a comfortable life in India to build a future in the U.S. from the ground up. That leap, and becoming a father, have been the most defining chapters of my life so far.
